As an Artistic Director of the company since 2012, Nadhi’s work through Nava has been supported by CounterPulse Performing Diaspora, CA$H Grants, Zellerbach Family Foundation, Dancers' Group, East Bay Community Fund and others. Her recent freelance work include performances and collaborations with Randee Paufve (Oakland), Seeta Patel (London), Graham Lustig (Oakland) and Sujit Vaidya (Vancouver.). Nadhi received her foundational training from Guru Smt. Sundara Swaminathan at Kala Vandana Dance Company in San Jose. In 2006, she had the opportunity to join Nritya School of Dance in Houston, under Guru Smt. Padmini Chari. In 2012, she started training under Guru Sri. A. Lakshmanaswamy (Nrityalakshana, Chennai.) She returns to Chennai each year to perform in the Annual Music and Dance Festival.

Shruti has a degree in Performing Arts from Mumbai University. She was initially trained by Smt. Rohini Singhi and is currently under the guidance of Shri Vaibhav Arekar (India). Shruti joined Nava in 2016.
Vertika began learning Bharatanatyam from Venkatlakshmi Lakshmanan and then went on to complete her arangetram under Prema Sondor. Vertika has been with Nava since 2014.
Lalli has been learning Bharatanatyam under Smt. Jayanthi Sridhar, founder of Bharatakalakutiram and disciple of Adayar K. Lakshman, for the past seventeen years. Lalli joined Nava in 2016.
Sri Thina Subramaniam

Sri Thina Subramaniam trained in bharatanatyam and odissi and has been teaching and performing these styles professionally for the 20 years. A graduate from The Temple of Fine Arts Malaysia, she currently trained under international artist Mavin Khoo and Vidhya Subramaniam. During her professional career, she has worked with renowned choreographers and has gained experience in both solo performances and collaborative work at established venues including The Lincoln Center, Royal Opera House (London, UK), London South Bank Centre, and Buckingham Palace (London). In addition to her own solo and group choreographies, she has also works for Nava Dance and is currently a member of Kala Vedika – a forum for the arts in the Bay Area.

Tanu joined Nava Dance Theatre in 2013. She was first introduced to Bharatanatyam by her gurus Sri K.P. & Smt. Katherine Kunhiraman, of Kalanjali: Dances of India. Tanusree performed her dance debut in 2011, and continues to dance in both Kalanjali and Nava productions. Most recently, she danced in Pushfest for Lalli Venkat’s production as well as West Wave for Sri Thina Subramaniam’s production The Affair.
Jaya was introduced to Bharatanatyam by her guru, Smt. Sundara Swaminathan at the age of 8. She performed her Arangetram in 1999 and was a company dancer in multiple productions with Kala Vandana Dance Center. Jaya joined Nava Dance Theatre in 2013.
Priya began studying Bharatanatyam at age 10, and for the last decade has been studying the Kalakshetra style from Smt. Katherine Kunhiraman in Berkeley, California, and Smt. KP Yasodha in Chennai.
Shanti joined Nava Dance Theatre in 2013. She began studying Bharatanatyam in 1993, under Sri KP and Smt. Katherine Kunhiraman, Directors of Kalanjali: Dances of India.

Sophia learned Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Smt. Sundara Swaminathan, in San Jose, California.
Vidya was trained in Bharatanatyam by KP and Katherine Kunhiraman, and KP Yasodha, and has performed in multiple solo and group productions.
Vineela Ravva Paddatoon
Vineela began her Bharatanatyam training at the age of 8 under Katherine Kunhiraman, Director of Kalanjali, Dances of India. She had the honor of learning under the Dhananjayans as well as KP Yasodha.
